This model is supported through curricula designed to foster learning by doing, combining theoretical knowledge with multidimensional practical approaches. Based on both local and international academic and industrial experience of the founding team and board of trustees, the OSTİMTECH Education Model includes:
- Practice-Based Learning Model
OSTİM Technical University is located in a business and finance center that has made significant contributions to Turkey’s industrialization. To benefit from this knowledge base, applied education is emphasized alongside theory. Starting from the first year, students gain observation, implementation, innovation, and management skills through practical education in the marketing departments of businesses.

Globalization and developments in information and communication technologies have transformed all areas of society. These changes have altered consumer lifestyles, needs, and market conditions. In today’s competitive and dynamic environment, businesses seek to gain an advantage through strategies that create value and differentiate them from competitors. Marketing students at OSTİM will gain expertise in digital tools, creativity, and innovation through methods like simulated learning, experiential activities, and interdisciplinary projects. With the advantages of the OSTİM ecosystem, students will quickly adapt to industry changes and achieve competitive success.
The department aims to train innovative marketing managers and professionals who follow developments in the field, are equipped with both theoretical and practical marketing knowledge, can generate creative solutions, work well in teams, are entrepreneurial, and can think critically.
With English as the language of instruction, graduates can work in marketing, sales, branding, digital promotion, market research, social media marketing, and product development in both national and international companies. They may also establish their own businesses or manage departments in global firms. Additionally, they can hold various positions in public institutions. Graduates enjoy the same rights as those from other departments of economics and administrative sciences.
The global orientation of the curriculum and English-medium instruction provide graduates with a strong advantage in finding jobs at international institutions and companies. Gaining practical experience in OSTİM’s industrial zone further increases employment prospects. Graduates can work in marketing and operational or managerial roles in OSTİM-based businesses.
Located at the heart of industry and public sectors, OSTİM Technical University was founded in close cooperation with business, industry, and society. Through the “Workplace Experience” program, students work in companies one day a week from their second semester and full-time in their eighth semester, transferring knowledge between academia and industry.
Courses in economics, marketing, business administration, management, accounting, entrepreneurship, consumer behavior, mathematics, and statistics equip students with a well-rounded foundation through an interdisciplinary curriculum.
With the motto Experienced Graduate, the “Workplace Experience” program allows students to apply their general knowledge, theoretical insights, and personal skills in real-world business settings from their first year, enhancing employability both nationally and internationally.
The program is 100% in English. Students who do not meet the English proficiency requirement must enroll in the English Preparatory Program. New students are placed according to a Placement Test. Those scoring 60 or above may take the Proficiency Exam. Students passing the Proficiency Exam with 60 or above are exempt. Others are placed in appropriate levels within the preparatory program.
In accordance with national regulations, students can pursue double majors or minors. Marketing students can apply for these programs between their 3rd and 5th semesters, provided they meet the specific conditions set by the relevant departments. Double majors or minors can be pursued in other departments within the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences or in other faculties, depending on YKS score types and rankings.
